In the 19th century ring of Amsterdam, a lot of rebuilding takes place these years. The neighborhood is characterized by modest constructions with individual buildings and ensembles of comparable size, scale and architecture. This is also the case for this upstairs apartment. New elements have been added with respect for the existing structure and layout of the house. Following the possibilities in the zoning plan, the top floor has been expanded at the rear and a roof terrace and balconies were added. Inside, the residence has been adapted to the current standard with new installations and finishes.
