Jan-Willem has been working at Architectenbureau Vroom as a Project Architect since January 2016.

“Drawing and building with Lego were my favorite activities from an early age. My fascination with old buildings and history ultimately led me to study architecture.”

Education
After completing his studies in Building Technology at the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (HU), Jan-Willem graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in 2004. He has worked at architecture firms such as Thijs Asselbergs Architectuurcentrale, Meyer en van Schooten Architecten, and Delfgou. At Architectenbureau Vroom, he has been involved in several restoration projects from initial design to completion.

Specializations
Jan-Willem has taken various courses in the field of restoration & heritage and has built up extensive knowledge of historical architectural styles, materials, and restoration and sustainability techniques. Additionally, he is closely involved in the annual audit for GEAR certification.
