Debby Heilker–Lamerigts has been working as a Projectleader and Designer at Architectenbureau Vroom since November 2008.

“What I enjoy about restoring monumental buildings is that the existing structure and unique elements can often add that extra touch to a home. It’s satisfying to sketch with the future residents of the property during the design phase and see how their wishes fall into place like pieces of a puzzle.”

Education
Debby studied Architecture at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) with a specialization in Urban Renewal. Her first professional experience was at Vanschagen Architecten in Rotterdam, where she specialized in conducting shell studies and renovations. At Architectenbureau Vroom, her focus shifted to the restoration of monumental private residences.

Specializations
Debby oversees projects from the initial design sessions to execution. Her specialization and affinity lie in design puzzles where the clients’ wishes, building regulations, and comfort are integrated into existing monumental buildings.
